BMW X7 Spark Plugs Malaysia — B58/N63

G07 xDrive40i B58: 6 iridium plugs every 60,000 km, RM 400–700. G07 M60i N63 V8: 8 plugs — complex access, upper intake manifold removal, RM 700–1,200. Inspect ignition coils at same service. N63 coil replacement risk higher due to oil contamination.

BMW X7 Spark Plugs Malaysia — B58/N63

X7 Spark Plugs

  • B58 3.0T (xDrive40i): 6 × NGK iridium — every 60,000 km
  • N63 4.4T V8 (xDrive50i): 8 × NGK iridium — every 60,000 km
  • Cost: RM 600–900 (B58) / RM 950–1,400 (N63 V8)

Iridium Plugs — Worth the Premium

The X7's B58 3.0T or N63 4.4T V8 engine requires iridium spark plugs — these are more expensive than standard copper or platinum plugs but last significantly longer (60,000 km vs 20,000 km). Using cheaper non-iridium plugs in a BMW direct-injection turbo engine causes rough idle, misfires, and can trigger coilpack damage. At 60,000 km intervals, iridium plugs actually cost less per kilometre than cheaper alternatives. Always replace all plugs as a set and inspect coils while the engine is open.
