BMW X7 Workshop Cases Malaysia — 4M Car Care
Real X7 cases: G07 xDrive40i 88,000 km rear right air strut collapsed — car tilted overnight — strut RM 3,200 + ISTA calibration. G07 xDrive40i 63,000 km electric water pump failed, coolant loss — pump RM 1,900 parts + labour. G07 M60i N63 dipstick check revealed 2L low at 38,000 km — owner unaware — turbo top-up and monitoring. All actual Malaysia costs.

Case 1: G07 X7 xDrive40i — Air Suspension Valve Block (72,000 km)
G07 X7 brought in: 'car sits low on rear-left after overnight parking.' ISTA found air suspension valve block fault (valve 3 not sealing) + compressor working overtime to compensate. Ride height confirmed: rear-left 18mm lower than rear-right. Replaced valve block (RM 1,600) — more cost-effective than replacing individual struts at this stage. Compressor checked — still healthy (not replaced). Post-repair: car holds level for 72 hours confirmed. Total: RM 1,600. Owner relieved — had quoted RM 8,000 elsewhere for full strut replacement.
Case 2: G07 X7 xDrive40i — B58 Carbon + Drivetrain Fluids (65,000 km)
X7 owner came in for CBS oil service. Checked service history: ATF never changed, transfer case and both diffs never changed, all at 65,000 km. ISTA carbon inspection showed moderate intake valve buildup. We recommended: ATF (RM 520) + transfer case (RM 300) + front diff (RM 200) + rear diff (RM 220) + walnut blast B58 6 ports (RM 1,100). Owner agreed to full package. Total: RM 2,340. Post-service: gear changes notably smoother, car pulls stronger, no more subtle AWD hesitation. Owner now understands: CBS only covers oil and brakes — drivetrain fluids need separate tracking.
