X7 A/C Service
- Refrigerant: R1234yf (all G07 X7) — regas RM 420–600
- 3-zone or 4-zone climate control: diagnose with ISTA if any zone fails
- Rear A/C evaporator: check for leaks at high mileage
R1234yf vs R134a in Malaysia
Newer X7 variants (post-2017) use R1234yf refrigerant, which costs significantly more to regas than the older R134a. Do not mix refrigerant types — this damages the A/C compressor and seals. Always confirm which refrigerant your specific X7 uses before any A/C service. In Malaysia's year-round heat, the A/C compressor works nearly continuously — annual A/C inspection at 4M Car Care is recommended to catch compressor wear and refrigerant leaks early.
