How often to change spark plugs? Role & timing
Small but vital — spark plugs directly affect power and fuel economy. Here's their role, change interval and the signs.

Spark plugs ignite the air-fuel mixture and are key to how the engine runs. Worn plugs make the car sluggish, raise fuel use and cause rough idling.
How often to change?
Copper plugs generally last ~20,000–40,000 km; platinum/iridium plugs up to 60,000–100,000 km. Follow factory advice and actual condition.
Signs you should change them
Sluggish acceleration, rough idle, higher fuel use, occasional misfire/shaking. Turbo direct-injection engines are more sensitive — change by mileage.
