Puspakom inspection: what to prepare (checklist)
Ownership transfer, renaming and commercial vehicles all need a Puspakom check. Which items fail most often? Check these before you go and pass in one try.

A Puspakom inspection is required when you transfer ownership of a used car, rename a vehicle, or renew a commercial vehicle. Fail on a small item and you have to fix it and come back — wasting a whole trip. Check these things before you go so you pass in one try.
Items that most often fail
Lights: headlights, brake lights, signals and reverse lights must all work.
Tyres: enough tread depth, no cracks or bulges, correct size on all four.
Brakes: no worn pads, no leaks, even braking with no pulling.
Windscreen wipers, horn, seat belts and side mirrors all working.
No fluid leaks (oil, coolant) and no illegal modifications.
Also bring the paperwork
Bring your IC, the vehicle grant (geran) and any transfer forms. A physically clean, well-maintained car also makes the visual inspection smoother.
