The Toyota Hilux Rogue — launched in Malaysia in 2020 as the range-topping variant of the AN120/AN130 Hilux — is one of the hardest-working vehicles on Malaysian roads. It tows equipment trailers on weekdays, carries construction materials to site, hauls camping gear up dirt tracks on weekends, and still gets driven as a daily commuter. That multi-role demand puts sustained stress on every bushing in the suspension system. PPPB 35814 — Front Upper Arm Bushing Kit: The Hilux Rogue runs a double-wishbone front suspension, and the upper control arm connects to the chassis through rubber bushings at both pivot points. These take the brunt of off-road impacts and wear faster on vehicles that leave sealed roads regularly. PPPB 35814 replaces them with polyurethane that holds geometry under the lateral loads the upper arm handles.

PPPB 35933 — Front Lower Arm Bushing Kit: The lower control arm carries more load than the upper arm — it is the primary locating point for the front wheel under braking and cornering. Four bushings per side (two pivot positions, each with two bushings) mean there is significant polyurethane contact area holding the arm in place. PPPB 35933 replaces all lower arm bushings, eliminating the deflection that causes the Hilux's steering to feel imprecise after high mileage.

PPPB 36171 — Front Steering Rack Bushing Kit: The steering rack is bolted to the subframe through rubber mounting bushings. When these degrade, the rack shifts under steering inputs — introducing a floating, imprecise feel to the steering that is especially noticeable at highway speed. PPPB 36171 firms up the rack mount, giving the steering a more direct, connected feel.

PPPB 36180 — Front Absorber Bushing Kit: The front shock absorber is located through a rubber bushing at its lower mount point. This bushing allows the absorber to pivot slightly as the suspension travels; when worn, it creates a knock under suspension movement and reduces damping effectiveness. PPPB 36180 replaces it with polyurethane that pivots cleanly without excess play.

PPPB 36260 — Front Absorber Upper Bushing Kit: The top of the front shock absorber also uses a rubber bushing where it meets the chassis. This upper mount bushing absorbs vibration but degrades over time, especially on a pickup that takes on rough terrain. PPPB 36260 replaces the upper mount bushing to restore clean damper articulation from top to bottom.

PPPB 36012 — Front Stabilizer Bar Bushing Kit: The front sway bar is located to the subframe through rubber clamp bushings. When these harden and crack, the sway bar moves laterally in its mount, causing the familiar knock over bumps and during lane changes. PPPB 36012 uses polyurethane for a firm, rattle-free sway bar mount.

PPPB 35794 — Rear Leaf Spring Bushing Kit: The Hilux Rogue uses leaf springs at the rear, and the spring eyes at both ends of each leaf pack are bushed in rubber. These take the full longitudinal and vertical load of towing and payload carrying — exactly what the Hilux is used for. Worn eye bushings allow the axle to shift fore-and-aft under load, introducing a vague, wandering character under acceleration and braking. PPPB 35794 replaces all rear leaf spring eye bushings.

PPPB 35885 — Rear Spring Pad Bushing Kit: Between each leaf in the spring pack, and between the spring pack and the axle seat, sit rubber spring pad bushings. These cushion the leaves against each other and against the axle, reducing the metallic clatter that is characteristic of an aging leaf spring setup. PPPB 35885 replaces these pads with polyurethane — firmer under load, but eliminating the inter-leaf noise that develops as the original pads compress and crack.

Replacing front upper arm, lower arm, and steering rack bushings all affect front wheel geometry. After any combination of these kits is fitted, a full wheel alignment is mandatory — the new bushings allow the suspension to settle into its correct geometry, which will differ from the worn-in readings. This step is especially important on a pickup used for towing, where precise front tracking directly affects stability under load.
