How often should you change the cabin air filter?
The cabin air filter cleans the air you breathe and keeps the air-cond airflow strong. A clogged one means weak, smelly air. Here's how often to change it.

The cabin air filter cleans dust, pollen and pollution out of the air before it reaches you through the air-cond vents. It's cheap and easy to change, yet it's one of the most forgotten parts. A clogged filter means weak airflow, musty smells and a harder-working blower. Here's how often to change it.
How often to change it
A good rule is every 15,000–20,000 km, or once a year — sooner if you drive in heavy traffic, dusty areas, or during the haze season. Many owners simply change it together with their regular service so it's never forgotten.
Signs it's clogged
Weaker airflow from the vents even on high fan.
A musty or dusty smell when the air-cond is on.
Fogging that's slow to clear, or more dust settling inside.
