Case 1: A4 B9 2.0T — HPFP + Cam Follower (58,000 km)
A4 B9 with 58,000 km: customer reported rough idle and hard starting in mornings. VCDS showed P0087 (fuel pressure too low). Inspected cam follower before replacing HPFP — follower was worn through (0.3mm metal remaining from 3mm original). Replaced follower + HPFP (RM 2,100 combined). If we had just replaced the HPFP without checking the follower, the new pump would have failed within 10,000 km. Total: RM 2,100.
Case 2: A4 B9 — DSG + Carbon Service (65,000 km)
A4 B9, 65,000 km: came in for oil service, DSG fluid dark (never changed), carbon inspection showed heavy intake valve deposits. Combined: DQ381 fluid + adaptation reset (RM 520) + walnut blast 4 ports (RM 850). After service: noticeably sharper throttle response, smoother gear changes. Owner now scheduled for every 40,000 km DSG service. Total: RM 1,370 + oil service.
