Proton Saga Carbon — Port Injection, No Issue
CAMPRO 1.3L: port injection — no intake valve carbon. No walnut blast needed. Regular oil changes keep combustion clean. One less thing to worry about vs X70/X50.
Proton Saga 1.3L VVT CAMPRO uses port fuel injection — fuel washes intake valves on every cycle. Carbon buildup on intake valves is NOT a concern for the Saga unlike direct injection engines. Standard throttle body cleaning every 40,000 km is sufficient.
- Throttle body cleaning: RM 50–80
- Fuel injector cleaning: RM 80–150 (if rough idle)
