Proton Saga Alternator Malaysia

Alternator Diagnosis — Proton Malaysia
Always test both battery and alternator together — a failing battery mimics alternator symptoms. A healthy alternator reads 13.8–14.5V at the battery terminals with engine running. Proton VVT alternators are prone to brush wear after 100,000–120,000 km. Remanufactured alternators (RM 300–550) from reputable rebuilders are a cost-effective alternative to OEM units (RM 700–1,200). Check the alternator belt tension at every service.
