Proton S70 Engine Oil Malaysia — 0W-20
S70 1.5T 3-cyl: same engine family as X50. 4.0L capacity, 0W-20 fully synthetic. Turbo: every 10,000 km — do not exceed. Geely-approved spec. Direct injection: oil quality affects carbon buildup rate.
- 5W-30 SN+ full synthetic; ~4L (1.5T 3-cyl); every 7,500–10,000 km
- Same engine spec as X50 — use identical oil grade
Engine Oil Grade — Proton Models Malaysia
Proton Saga/Persona use 10W-30 or 5W-30 SN. For X50/X70/X90 with the Geely 1.5T TGDI, only 0W-20 or 5W-30 SP/SN fully synthetic is acceptable — the turbo demands low-viscosity synthetic oil. Mixing mineral and synthetic is not recommended. Change every 5,000 km; never stretch to 10,000 km in Malaysia's climate. Always check the API rating: SP is the latest standard and backward-compatible with SN.
