Cayenne MUST use Porsche A40-spec oil: 0W-40 or 5W-40 fully synthetic. Approved brands: Mobil 1 0W-40, Castrol Edge 0W-40, Shell Helix Ultra 0W-40. Never use budget oil.
Porsche Cayenne Engine Oil — A40 Spec
- MANDATORY: Porsche A40 spec — 0W-40 or 5W-40 fully synthetic
- Approved: Mobil 1 0W-40, Castrol Edge 0W-40, Shell Helix Ultra 0W-40
- Capacity: ~7.5L (V6) or ~8.5L (V8) including filter
- Interval: 10,000–15,000 km — do not extend to 20,000 km in Malaysia's heat
- Never use 5W-30 or any non-A40 spec — turbo oil galleries are intolerant of wrong viscosity
