NP300 uses DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. Change every 2 years regardless of mileage — brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, lowering its boiling point. For towing or heavy-load use, DOT 4 is preferred for its higher dry boiling point. Never mix DOT 5 (silicone-based) with DOT 3/4.
