Mitsubishi Galant Fortis Transmission Fluid Malaysia
The Galant Fortis CVT uses Mitsubishi INVECS-III CVT Fluid J1 — do not substitute with a generic CVT fluid, as the wrong fluid can damage the belt and pulleys. The recommended change interval is every 40,000 km, but many high-mileage Malaysian units have never had a fluid change. If the CVT fluid is dark or smells burnt, a gentle drain-and-refill is the safer first step before considering a full flush. Regular fluid maintenance is the single most important factor in CVT longevity on this model.
