X253 GLC (2015–2022)
The most common GLC in Malaysia's used market. The M274 2.0T is reliable and well-proven. Main concerns: 9G-Tronic ATF history, AIRMATIC condition (if fitted), carbon buildup. A well-maintained X253 GLC 200 with full service history is an excellent used purchase.
X254 GLC (2023+)
The X254 brings the M254 mild hybrid engine, larger MBUX touchscreen interior, improved AIRMATIC (standard on more variants) and significantly better fuel economy. As a newer model, long-term reliability is still being established in Malaysian conditions. Parts and service cost more than X253.
