Mazda CX-8 Puspakom Guide (MY) Malaysia
The Mazda CX-8 KG is a 3-row 7-seat SUV exclusive to Asia-Pacific.

PUSPAKOM (Pusat Pemeriksaan Kenderaan Motor) is Malaysia's official vehicle inspection centre, operated under a concession from the government. Inspection is mandatory for certain categories — understanding when you need it saves time and money.
When is PUSPAKOM inspection required?
- B2 inspection: For private cars that fail the Computerised Vehicle Inspection (CVI) at JPJ — required to get back on the road
- B5 inspection: For ownership transfer (when buying/selling a used car over 15 years old)
- B7 inspection: Post-accident / post-flood structural check required by insurance
- Commercial vehicle inspection: Lorries, taxis, buses, e-hailing cars require periodic PUSPAKOM checks
What PUSPAKOM checks
- Brake performance (front and rear, measured on a roller brake tester)
- Headlight beam aim and intensity
- Suspension play — bushes, ball joints, tie rods, shock absorbers
- Exhaust emissions (CO, HC levels)
- Structural integrity, chassis and underbody for accident-repaired cars
Prepare your car — avoid a re-inspection fee
Bring your car to 4M Car Care before the PUSPAKOM visit. We check brakes, suspension, lights, and emissions so you pass first time. A failed PUSPAKOM inspection requires a re-inspection fee (RM 20–50 per item). We save you the repeat trip.
