Malaysia's CX-8 uses the 2.5L SkyActiv-G — the M Hybrid 24V system is not part of the Malaysian market specification. In Japan the CX-8 2.2L SkyActiv-D diesel was available; Malaysia does not sell the diesel variant. CX-8 efficiency is best maintained through ATF FZ service every 40,000 km and correct 0W-20 engine oil.
