Case 1: G06 X6 xDrive40i — B58 Water Pump + Carbon (58,000 km)
G06 X6 xDrive40i with 58,000 km presented with occasional temperature needle fluctuation. ISTA confirmed B58 electric water pump running intermittently. Customer asked us to check everything — carbon inspection showed moderate intake valve buildup. Combined job: B58 water pump (RM 1,200) + walnut blast 6 ports (RM 1,100). Post-repair: stable temperature, car pulls noticeably harder after carbon clean. Total: RM 2,300. Owner pleased — caught the water pump before it caused overheating.
Case 2: F16 X6 xDrive50i N63 — Valve Covers + Oil Level Crisis (88,000 km)
F16 X6 xDrive50i N63 brought in for a 'burning smell.' Oil level was 2L below minimum — owner had never checked between services. Both valve cover gaskets were seeping (classic N63). We replaced both gaskets (RM 3,400) and topped oil. Critically: ISTA showed no engine damage codes, meaning we caught it before bearing wear occurred. Advised owner: N63 V8 must have oil level checked every 2,000–3,000 km. Car has been on our regular service schedule since — no further issues at 115,000 km. Total: RM 3,400 + oil.
