Malaysia Highway Dust Effect
Malaysian roads — particularly the North-South Expressway and Kesas Highway — generate significant road dust and fine particulates that clog air filters faster than European conditions. A clogged filter reduces turbo boost pressure on the 2 Series's B38/B48 (F45/F46) or N20 (F22 Coupe) engine, increasing fuel consumption and reducing performance. We recommend checking the filter at every oil change and replacing every 20,000–30,000 km in heavy-dust environments.
